My Melaka Trip
It is the most interesting time of the year for most school-goers.
Could you make a guess?
Yes! You got that right.
School holidaysssss!!!!
I went for a trip this past week. Me. Ma. Pa. Tha. Deej and Eeb. And of course, our most reliable beebs tagged along as well.
We made a pit stop at Putrajaya to attend my pa's cousin's daughter's wedding.
At the solemnisation ceremony (akad nikah), we ate lots of delicious food such as cendol, nasi minyak, laksa and various kinds of malay delicacies but my most favourite would be the ais krim malaysia which came in multiple flavours - milo, asam boy, sirap - just to name a few.
The bride and the groom looked matching in their white outfits, like a king and a queen at a grand ball. As the old Malay saying goes, "bagai pinang dibelah dua".
After the akad nikah, pa drove from putrajaya to melaka and we arrived at around 5 pm on a Saturday afternoon. Upon arrival, we checked in to our hotel which is named Amverton Heritage Resort.
You could not imagine our levels of excitement when we found out that the hotel pool had a mini waterpark which had a small pirate ship in the middle, along with various other slides nearby. We would definitely recommend the hotel for a family trip which was booked through booking.com .
After swimming, we headed for the Melaka River to hop on the night cruise. We saw many drawings of people and places painted on the walls of old historical buildings that lined up along the river. I am pretty sure these buildings were not here when Parameswara visited Melaka the first time around. Do you know who Parameswara is? Try ask Mr Google if you don't. As I was sitting on the boat, splashes of water trickled on my skin while the cool night air breezed past my face as the journey went on, which made the cruise all the more enjoyable.
The following day, after breakfast and another dip into the swimming pool, we visited Zoo Melaka. Various species of animals lived there in the zoo. We saw a lot of fascinating animals but my most favourite were the lemurs which reminded me of King Julien. Reeq liked orangutans for their ability to glide from tree to tree smoothly.
That night, pa wanted to go to jonker walk which is located in the middle of melaka city. The street was buzzing and swarming with people from various walks of life. it was not really an enjoyable experience but at least I can tell that I've been to one of the tourist landmarks of melaka.

The next day, we ended our holidays in melaka by visiting a local mall selling souvenirs of the city. From our adventures in melaka, we brought home a truck load of memories and a bucketful of experiences that we will treasure for years to come.
The end.
